Angel Reese gives WNBA fans a first peek at her Reebok collection while sharing the reason behind her new hairstyle

Chicago Sky star rookie Angel Reese admitted she was forced to change up her look this week.

The 22-year-old shared a ‘Get Ready With Me’ video to TikTok Saturday to celebrate the launch of her new collaboration with Reebok.

The WNBA star gave her fans an up-close and personal glimpse at her new collection with the sportswear brand.

She highlighted the attention to detail in the clothing and shoe line – including crown embellishments on the sneakers – as she changed into a metallic silver co-ord set ahead of the Sky’s 80-82 loss against the Connecticut Sun Friday.

However, Reese also revealed that she would be sporting a new hairstyle in the tunnel along with her shiny new outfit.

The 6-foot-3 beauty had been sporting her hair in long tresses, often worn up in a ponytail, often with her signature headband while on court.

As recently as Chicago’s game against the Los Angeles Sparks on August 17, she had styled her extensions into a single ponytail braid to arrive for the clash.

But as she prepared for Friday’s game, she revealed to her fans that the hairstyle was no longer an option as the hairpiece had fallen out.

‘I knew it was going to fall out because it was not in tight at all,’ she said.

Instead, she opted for a chic slicked back bun as she sported her collection’s shorts and crop top set with matching silver and blue sneakers.

Earlier this week, Reese launched a collection with her shoe sponsor, Reebok – making her the first rookie from this year’s class to launch a product with an athletic brand.

The collection includes three pairs of shoes – including a friends and family exclusive pair – as well as plenty of apparel items.

Products in the collection have been made available for purchase as of the date of the launch on Friday.

‘She is fantastic and she is a girl’s girl. She loves fashion,’ Reebok senior vice president of product Portia Blunt told CBS Sports.

‘Collaborating with her is a little different than when we collaborate with other athletes because she has such a strong point of view. She knows who she is. She knows what she likes and she wants to bring that to life.

‘… She came to work every day ready to design and really contribute to this collection because she really wanted to have her stamp on it as much as possible.’

‘I am honored to unveil my first collection with Reebok, and worked hand in hand with the brand to ensure each and every piece is designed to elicit confidence and expression,’ Reese said according to the Reebok website.

‘I wanted to create a collection that allowed women and girls everywhere to embrace their femininity and power in whatever they’re doing. This collection is for HER to be stylish and fierce on all occasions.’

In addition to the icy green, blue and chrome color palate, a common theme among the apparel is the phrase ‘When they sleep on you… tuck them in’.

That quote appears on the inside of the shoes in the collection as well as on the back of a t-shirt.

In addition, the line includes a body suit, a track jacket, a bralette, a dress, bike shorts, leggings, and wide leg pants.
