Blake Lively shared that Ryan Reynolds gave her flowers weekly when they began dating.
“When my husband and I first got together, he would send me a bouquet of flowers every week,” the “Gossip Girl” alum recalled to People in an interview published Wednesday.
Lively, 36, added that Reynolds, 37, would “always send a card” with the arrangement and wrote “something funny or emotional that one of us said” that week.

“It was just like, someone who sees you or remembers a funny story. I would tell him something funny that happened in my day or something sweet we said or something we had to look forward to, and it was always just, like, a little five words, seven words, like, a little quote of our week,” she explained.
The “Age of Adaline” star gushed that the gesture was “such a beautiful, romantic thing.”
“And then we had 4,000 children!” she said while laughing.

Lively and Reynolds tied the knot in September 2012 after meeting on the set of “Green Lantern” in early 2010.
The couple went on to welcome four children: daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4, and son Olin, 1.
The actress shared the sweet story while promoting her new movie, “It Ends With Us,” in which she plays a florist named Lily Bloom.

She has fully embraced the role by wearing floral patterns and talking about flowers several times over the past month.
However, even while doing press for the film, Lively rarely talks about her home life, as she and the “Deadpool” star have tried to keep their kids and family private.
The “A Simple Favor” star and Reynolds even kept the name and 𝓈ℯ𝓍 of their youngest child a secret for more than a year until he finally spilled the beans in July.

Shortly after, Reynolds’ “Deadpool & Wolverine” director, Shawn Levy, revealed he was Olin’s “proud godfather.”
The couple’s close friend Taylor Swift, meanwhile, recently described herself as the children’s godmother.
