Pro Football Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw won’t reveal who exactly he’s voting for in the 2024 United States presidential election, but the Pittsburgh Steelers icon has admitted to switching political allegiances in the past.
With the Nov. 5 election quickly approaching, previous comments from Terry Bradshaw about his political alignment have resurfaced.
During a 2020 interview with Business Jet Travel ahead of that year’s election, Bradshaw was asked about his thoughts on the Republican Party. The four-time Super Bowl champion revealed that he switched from Republican to registered independent, though he’ll vote for who he thinks is the best candidate for the presidential chair:
“I’ve been a Republican, but now I’m a registered independent. I don’t want to alienate anyone, and the minute you say, ‘I’m a Democrat’ or ‘I’m Republican,’ you’re kicking off the other side. I want the best person (in the White House), and I’ll pick the one who’s most like the way I feel.”
In 2017, Terry Bradshaw criticized then-president Donald Trump during the “NFL on FOX” after the latter called for the NFL to fire players who protested during the performance of the national anthem.
