Dave Grohl seemingly predicted his marriage with Jordyn Blum would not last — before it even began.
In 2007, the Foo Fighters frontman, 55, recalled to Q magazine that on the night he met his second wife at the Sunset Marquis bar in West Hollywood, Calif., in 2001, he thought to himself “not a chance.”
Because of how beautiful the ex-MTV producer was, Grohl started drinking heavily with bandmate Taylor Hawkins, who died in 2022.
“So I’m just having some drinks and acting like a jackass. And by the end of the night I was pissed and I’m staring at her going, ‘You’re my future ex-wife,” he explained to the now-defunct music publication.
Grohl said the comment didn’t turn off Blum as she still gave the rocker her number and wrote alongside of it, “Jordyn, your future ex-wife.”
“We saw each other a few times,” the “Learn to Fly” singer then shared.
Grohl went on to marry Blum in 2003 and they share three daughters: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.
In that same interview with Q nearly 17 years ago, the former Nirvana drummer said he considered himself a family man at that point.
“She’s unbelievable,” he told the publication of his firstborn at the time.
“Jordyn goes to this Mommy And Me class …. She said, ‘Y’know, fathers are welcome,’·which kinda meant, like, ‘Get your ass to Mommy And Me.’ I was like, ‘Alright….”
Blum was Grohl’s second chance at marriage, as he had first wed Jennifer Youngblood in 1994.
However, the former couple reportedly split because of the “Everlong” singer’s “admitted infidelities,” per a 2007 Guardian article.
Now, Grohl appears to have fallen into old bad habits, as he just admitted via Instagram Tuesday to cheating on Blum and welcoming a child with his mistress.
“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” the “Best of You” singer began in a lengthy message. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.”
