Did Caitlin Clark Steal the Show at Taylor Swift’s Concert?

Caitlin Clark Had Perfect Line While Attending Taylor Swift Concert in WNBA Offseason

In this story:

The Indiana Fever may be in their “Caitlin Clark” era, but the superstar guard is currently in her Taylor Swift era.

Clark checked another important item off her bucket list this offseason after attending Swift’s Eras Tour concert at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis over the weekend. She was spotted in the VIP area at Saturday night’s show and later posted about the experience on social media, sharing that she was “dedicated” to collecting friendship bracelets from fellow Swifties.

During Clark’s enchanting night, the Fever social team posted a reel of the Rookie of the Year’s top plays from this past WNBA season. Clark replied with a funny one-liner:

“Busy at eras tour thanks for tag tho,” Clark wrote.

Ahead of a big second year in the league under newly hired Fever head coach Stephanie White, it’s nice to see Clark putting her feet up and having some fun. Indiana will kick off the 2025 WNBA season next May.

Millionaire Caitlin Clark Rocks Pricey Look at Taylor Swift Concert as Dance Next to Travis Kelce Goes Viral

Caitlin Clark is officially “enchanted!” Having revealed the Speak Now song as one of her favorites, the reigning Rookie of the Year got to experience it live from the pop artist herself. As Taylor Swift’s US Tour wraps up in Indianapolis, the state’s shining star has been present at Lucas Oil Stadium for two nights in a row. And she is rubbing elbows with Travis Kelce to boot!

Eagle-eyed fans caught Clark in the same VIP box as Swift’s boyfriend, although they did not seem to be interacting with each other during the show, we can see the rookie grooving next to the 35-year-old. But the rookie has admitted that she’s a huge Chiefs tight end, so she might have been fangirling over Kelce as well! The Fever guard was also jamming to the 4-hour-plus show in a chic outfit. Per an X account dedicated to Clark’s fashion, she was “wearing @Prada Cropped Cotton Fleece T-Shirt,” worth $975, and “@aliceandolivia Trish Low Rise Embellished Baggy Jean,” worth $795, on night 2 in Indy.

CC also exchanged friendship bracelets with fans in true Swiftie fashion. The trend comes from lyrics from Swift’s song ‘You’re on Your Own Kid’: “So make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it.” No. 22 posted a picture of her arm filled with bracelets up to the elbow and captioned it, “I’m dedicated.” For someone who has come under fire for ‘liking’ the musician’s post supporting Kamala Harris before the elections, Caitlin Clark is certainly a huge fan!

Per Yahoo! Sports, the WNBA star’s mom was also present with her on Saturday, and it would have been no surprise if she had returned for the last night as well! With this, Swift wraps up her year-and-a-half-long tour in the country before moving on to Canada, where we likely might not see her number-one fan from basketball present.

But Clark, who has made the most of her first offseason as a pro by playing golf and going back to her Iowa roots, might take heart in a statement from Nancy Lieberman as she gets over the Eras daze. Even Cari Champion agrees!

Former pro calls Caitlin Clark ‘Taylor Swift’ of the basketball world

What can be said about Caitlin Clark that has not been said before? She took women’s basketball by storm this year with broken records on the court and invited viewership not seen in the W since its inaugural year. As impressed as the rest of us, Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman made an apt comparison between one of the most famous names in the sport and one of the most recognizable names in music.

“It doesn’t matter who people fancy at the moment,” Lieberman during an appearance on SiriusXM in September. “It’s Caitlin Clark. She’s the Taylor Swift of women’s basketball right now. Her fans are like ‘Swifties.’ They’re extraordinarily loyal. And in every arena you go into, half the people there are her fans wearing her jerseys. She’s a media superstar, but damn, she’s backed it up every step of the way.”

And it’s even more impressive because Swift has had more than 15 years to establish this dominance but Clark has just finished her rookie season. But just as ‘Tim McGraw’ made the country singer into a national sensation, so will Caitlin Clark’s three-pointers!
