Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is all for Travis Kelce’s romance with Taylor Swift.

Reid, 65, praised his tight end’s performance on the field after the Chiefs’ 31-17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, jokingly crediting the singer for being a positive influence.

“Kelce is getting better with time,” Reid said during a press conference shared on social media. “Taylor can stay around all she wants.”

Reid’s comments marked the second time the head coach — well-known for bringing a comedic presence to the NFL — has brought up Swift amid her new relationship with Kelce. A week earlier, Reid, who used to coach the Philadelphia Eagles, Swift’s hometown team, talked about knowing her dad.

“I knew her from Philadelphia; her dad was a big NFL fan, so I had met her when she was real young, and her dad,” Reid explained before jokingly taking credit for orchestrating the romance between Swift and Kelce. “I joked about setting Kelce up, and, you know, I’m just saying!” Reid said, laughing with the show’s host.

Reid added, “She’s a good girl, she’s into it, we’re glad she’s here.”

After the game, Swift, 33, and Kelce, 34, were spotted holding hands as they left the stadium. Both donned red attire, with the pop star supporting his team in a retro 1990 USA Kansas City Chiefs sweatshirt from Ellie Mae Vintage, while the NFL star wore a red plaid shirt.

Swift paired her game day outfit with a navy blue skirt with pleats, Reformation loafers and her trademark red lipstick. She also wore a gold friendship bracelet with Kelce’s number 87 while watching the game from the Mahomes’ suite with Brittany Mahomes, who is married to Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

The NFL shared a video of the new friends having fun, talking, laughing and dancing as they cheered for the Chiefs in the fourth game that Swift has been to since she started dating Kelce.

The win Sunday was one of the four victories the Chiefs had secured with “The Love Story” singer in attendance.

Along with Swift’s game appearances, she and Kelce have spent time together in New York City. Both appeared unexpectedly on SNL last week and were seen hand in hand while having dinner before the show, as well as at the after-party at Catch Steak in New York City.

“Taylor and Travis were there all night and they were so smiley, they were so happy,” a source told PEOPLE. The source also said that the couple were affectionate throughout the night with many kisses.

“They were super comfortable with each other,” the insider added. “They were very cuddly; they weren’t awkward. She was really comfortable with him, and he was a total gentleman.”
