Why some of the biggest luxury automakers Ferrari and Bugatti blocked A-list celebrities Justin Bieber and Tom Cruise, respectively.
Hollywood celebrities are no strangers to living in luxury, but along with these indulgences, some A-list stars have also faced unexpected bans from top-tier brands, such as singer Justin Bieber and action star Tom Cruise from the luxury automakers, Ferrari and Bugatti, respectively.

These high-profile figures are known for their impressive careers and distinctive tastes. However, despite their status, both found themselves on the wrong side of these luxury brands, facing bans for reasons that are as unexpected as they are unusual.
How Justin Bieber Ended Up On Ferrari’s Blacklist?
Among many things, the pop star Justin Bieber is also a well-known car enthusiast, evidenced by his impressive car collection, which reportedly includes brands like Mercedes and Lamborghini among others.

The singer also had several models from the Italian automaker, Ferrari, including Ferrari F430 and Ferrari 458 Italia. However, in 2022, Bieber found himself facing restrictions from the brand, landing on an ‘exclusive’ list of individuals no longer allowed to purchase certain models from the brand.
The ban stemmed from the high-profile figure failing to comply with Ferrari’s certain restrictions regarding ownership. Ferrari has strict regulations about how its cars should be maintained, driving behavior, and making any excessive modifications to the vehicle or selling it during the first year of ownership.

The Baby singer, however, failed to comply with some of these conditions, as he reportedly left one of his cars in the parking for three weeks. Additionally, he made extensive modifications to his white Ferrari 458 Italia just a few weeks after buying the car and put it up for auction in January 2017.
As per the Italian outlet Il Giornale, it led the luxury automaker to place its veto on any further purchases by the Ghost singer. As a result, Bieber will no longer be able to buy any models from the luxury car manufacturer, which is known for its exclusivity and high standards for clientele.
Tom Cruise Was Banned by Bugatti After Struggling to Open Car Door
The restrictions imposed on Justin Bieber by Ferrari appear reasonable, considering the singer occasionally failed to live up to their expectations. However, the story behind how Tom Cruise ended up facing a permanent ban from Bugatti is even crazier.
Cruise, known for his passion for movies and the extreme lengths he goes to for his stunts, found himself in hot water with the luxury French automaker after he made a grand entrance at the premiere of Mission: Impossible 3 in Bugatti Veyron, which he had added to his impressive car collection in 2005.

Making a grand entry, Cruise waved at his fans stepping out of the car. However, things took an unexpected turn when he reached out to open the door for his wife at the time, Katie Holmes. To the surprise of onlookers, Cruise struggled for nearly a minute to get the door open.
While the specifics of what went wrong remain unclear, the incident, though amusing to fans, was viewed as a significant blunder by Bugatti. It was followed by Bugatti imposing a lifetime ban on the actor, preventing him from ever buying a new Bugatti model again.
