In a startling incident in Samut Prakan, Thailand, a family encountered a massive 12-foot python emerging from their toilet on March 17. The sight left Suwi Paramas, a housewife, terrified. Fleeing in fear, her screams alerted her husband and brother-in-law, who called emergency services. A wildlife crew was summoned to the scene to handle the situation.
In the video footage, the wildlife team is seen using specialized tools to secure the snake. Despite their efforts, the python’s enormous size made it challenging to remove from the toilet’s plumbing. After consultation with the family, a decision was made to break the toilet basin. However, the snake remained ensnared in the plumbing’s u-bend, a curved section of the pipes, due to its large belly. The wildlife team carefully disassembled the plumbing to ensure both the snake’s and the plumbing system’s safety and successfully rescued the snake.
Such encounters with pythons in Thai bathrooms, often during the hot season as they seek cool, moist environments, have been reported previously in Southeast Asia.
