When you’re married to a man as handsome as Denzel Washington, you might think that the constant attention from fans might be a little excessive. For the average woman it may be, but not for his wife of 41 years, Pauletta Washington.

For her, it’s just another day in the life of being Mrs. Washington.

Pauletta’s confidence in her marriage did not take decades and decades to develop. She’s been that way from the beginning.

In a clip resurfaced from a 1996 episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” Pauletta, who has been married to the Oscar-winning actor since 1983, shared some fun insights into what it’s like to be married to one of Hollywood’s greatest heartthrobs.

Winfrey, who never minces words, kicked off the conversation by pointing out the obvious: “All women go crazy, you know that, Pauletta.”

With a wicked smile, Denzel’s wife joked, “You know what? They have a very good taste.”

But it wasn’t just her attractiveness that caught Pauletta’s attention. During the conversation, she reflected on her beginnings and how she met the “Training Day” actor and what attracted her to him.

Pauletta recalled, “I thought it was cute, but I fell in love with its spirit. That was the first thing I saw and then I thought, ‘It’s not a bad package.’”
