Deshaun Watson’s tumultuous tenure with Cleveland took another turn on Sunday, and Keppy Stafford is pissed about it.
The embattled quarterback was carted off the field Sunday with a right Achilles tendon injury he suffered on a noncontact play against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Watson, who has not lived up to expectations in his two-plus seasons with Cleveland, went down without being touched as he crumbled to the ground.
When he first collapsed, there were fans who cheered. Some even chanted for the Browns to bring in backup Dorian Thompson-Robinson.
Kelly Stafford was so disgusted that she called for the Cleveland Browns fans who cheered when Deshaun Watson suffered a season-ending injury to be banned for life.
Stafford, the wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew, posted on Instagram: ‘Should try and find every fan that cheered and ban them for life. Makes my blood boil.’

Cleveland fans have been unhappy about Watson, who has been accused of being sexually inappropriate with women.
However, their anger has never been about his sexual lawsuits but of him not living up to the massive contract that he signed after the team traded for him in 2022.
Watson finished his third season passing for 1,148 yards with five touchdowns and three interceptions. He was sacked a league-high 33 times.
Myles Garrett Also Calls Out Browns Fans For Treatment of Deshaun Watson
Myles Garrett, the NFL’s reigning Defensive Player of the Year, was not happy with his fan base.
After quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in Sunday’s 21-14 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, many fans cheered and booed the struggling signal-caller while he remained down on the field and was later carted off.
That didn’t sit well with Garrett.
The five-time Pro Bowl defensive end and reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year called Watson “a model citizen through college and most of the pros.”
“Whether it’s an opponent that goes down or one of our own (players), we don’t boo,” Garrett said in a postgame news conference. “We don’t boo guys that are injured on the field, especially when the cart comes out. We should be ashamed of ourselves, as Browns and as fans, to boo anyone and their downfall.”
