Social Media Detectives Think They Spotted Something Suspicious On Dodgers Freddie Freeman’s Jersey After He Hit Walk

Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman made World Series history on Friday night, having hit a walk-off grand slam against the New York Yankees in Game 1 on Friday night.

With L.A. trailing by one run in the bottom of the 10th inning and bases loaded, Freeman stepped up to face Nestor Cortes Jr., hitting his fastball into the right-field pavilion. The moment was especially remarkable as Freeman had been dealing with a badly sprained ankle that had limited him throughout the playoffs.

“Um, a wrinkle?” another user suggested.

“He’s lefty hitter, who was thrown a pitch, right in his wheel house. C’mon… it was bad location,” another wrote.

“A red circle?” a fan asked.

“Very clear to me that, that is his buzzer device. Unreal. Baseball will never be the same. How can someone cheat like that. Makes me sick,” someone wrote, before adding, “Nobody can see that this was obvious sarcasm? Not to bright are we lol.”

Freddie Freeman’s grand slam was the first of its kind where the World Series is concerned.

For starters, it handed the Dodgers a 6-3 win on the night, but it’s also ensured that Freeman’s name will now be mentioned along with the likes of Kirk Gibson, who hit a memorable walk-off that landed around the same area in 1988.
