This is the last photo of Charlie Chaplin who died on this day, 25th December in 1977.
Lady Chaplin pushes Sir Charles in his wheelchair, accompanied by their French poodle, Nicky, on a stroll alongside Lake Geneva in Vevey, October 1977. She told reporter John South, as she wheeled her husband the day this photograph was taken, “I wouldn’t have changed a thing. All of the trauma and difficulties and heartbreak with Charlie – it was worth every minute of it. I am as much in love with him now as the day I married him. Charlie’s life is my life absolutely. I never leave him alone for a moment. I don’t resent that or want to go out and live my own life. He’s been the one man in my life. And it’s worked.”
