The last thing the San Francisco 49ers needed was Brandon Aiyuk going down.
In the first half of the game against the Kansas Chiefs, the dynamic wide receiver caught a pass and then had his leg bent in a way that it shouldn’t have when he was tackled from behind and then down below.

He would soon be headed to the tent.
That looks like an injury that might have him for quite some time.
Brandon Aiyuk has 23 catches on 41 targets for 351 yards and zero touchdowns through six games.
Before his injury, he had two catches for 21 yards against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Brandon Aiyuk Has Not Lived Up To The Contract That He Desperately Wanted
The Brandon Aiyuk saga in San Francisco ended, and the standout wide receiver was going to stay put with a new contract that he so desperately wanted.
Aiyuk and the 49ers agreed to terms on a four-year, $120 million extension with $76 million in guarantees.
So far, through seven games, he looks nothing like the player he was in 2023.
Last season, he had 75 catches, 1342 yards and seven touchdowns.
With his current numbers, he’s on pace for 65 catches, 994 yards and no touchdowns. That is simply not good for a an who caused so much commotion in the offseason.
