On Sunday, The Carolina Panthers and New York Giants squared off for the final NFL game in Munich, Germany. During the pregame show on NFL Network, commissioner Roger Goodell appeared.
Much of his time on the air was spent highlighting the league’s successes in the 2024 international games, but he also touched on what to expect next year.
“We are definitely going to Spain; we announced that.” “We expect to return to Mexico City. We expect to return to Brazil,” said Goodell. “We will certainly be back in the U.K. And we’re also looking at the potential of another game in the U.K. area in Ireland, possibly. That’s a possibility. And we’ll certainly be back here in Germany. So if that total’s eight, that’s what we’re shooting for.”
If Goodell could make eight international games happen, it would significantly increase from the five it played in 2024.
